E-learning or virtual education is the term most commonly used to refer to the employment of modern electronic technology for teaching and learning. Utilised first for the distance learning programmes; since then it has been used extensively for the use of interactive, virtual education. Education technology pioneer, Bernard Luskin, sponsored that the "e" of e-learning should be interpreted to mean "exciting, enthusiastic, energetic, extended, emotional, excellent, and educational" in addition to "electronic".
